about

Born in Boulder, CO and raised on the move all over the country ultimately landing on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts. Neil has always felt an intuitive draw to music. Starting in the early years he recalls rockin’ out with his super fly Smurf guitar and sunglasses to match.

The crisp air of the Rocky’s and the smell of the Atlantic Ocean have lended to his inspiration to create. He says the combination of the mountains and ocean caused him to ground and also undulate his musical sound. His eclectic sound has evolved over the years by being on the road, playing with a variety of talented musicians and feeling the energy of the crowds he plays for. When asked about musical influences he names Jeff Beck, Blow by Blow Album, Tower of Power, Bill Withers, Skip James, The Beatles and Charles Mingus as the short list and notes that he will develop a full list as the number is too large for a short interview.

Neil, tell us about your music:

I just love making music, writing and composing. sharing the wellness instead of the dis-ease. My music is inspired by my experience, the moments that touch me, the ones that move me.
I seek to tell the stories artistically, creatively with a good grove. Life is in the music. They are my experiences but I think they are everyone else’s as well. I think that we all have this identity with each other.

All things are universal, I truly believe that. My music is my interpretation of my life experiences. Some I’ve never even had, some I wish for and some I don’t wish on anyone.
I seek to tap into life’s truths and try to write music that resonates and oms with collective human experience that is us.
